It's been a while! Yea.. it's been long time.. we tried to update as much as we can, but we're a lil' busy with quite alot of things :)

On the previous post i mentioned about a few gigs, but unfortunately AZUREFORJANNE didn't play one of it which was the 'Indie Youth Fest'. Disappointed much? Yea we know that, but they paid for it on the Backlash 2010 gig and AZUREFORJANNE & Friends, Again!.. don't you think so? I hope you guys enjoyed those gigs, cause we did.. :)

Music Aid 2010: Dari Pemuzik untuk Pemuzik

Time: Sunday, 21 Nov 2010, 3pm - 12am

Place: Dewan Sivik, Petaling Jaya

It's a charity where the purpose is to do fund raising for the Musicians Emergency Fund and Welfare, under the Bureau of Professional Employees musicians led by Aznan Alias.

Among the artists who have confirmed their participation was M. Nasir, Ramli Sarip, Spider, Faizal Tahir, Ana Rafali & Marhean, temperature and variety of artists such as Satire, Fieldplayer, Maharajah, Naizel, Transformation DS, Loudspeaker, Sharinband, Dezmelon, Genskii, Mercyside, Roundrobin from labels such as 2crank.com, Sonic Velocity, Pava, Jazzcomn and so forth. Soundline music equipment manufacturers will also open an exhibition room and selling them there, where 5% of every purchase will go to this fund.

For those interested to attend, a minimum of RM30 contribution is required for the duration of the show which began at 3pm till 12am. Among

Btw, I haven't tell you about the mini showcase yet.. It was another awesome night!!! Really!!! Ask those who attended the show.. Sure it was a bit hot and stuffy, but everyone of them stayed and rock it out with Eve, Unexpected Mercy, Matematik, and of course host band AZUREFORJANNE! AFJ and Matematik sold every single CD copy they brought that night!
For those who couldn’t make it, don’t fret. We smell another installation coming, soon!

On another note, AFJ will be recording a single in this few months. We are in the midst of deciding which song to choose, so if you have any fav, let us know.

Guys!!! Don't forget to join AZUREFORJANNE & Friends! mini showcase on Wednesday, 1st of September 2010 at Awakening Studio, KL (33 Jalan 4/109f, Taman Danau Desa, 58100 Kuala Lumpur).

Probably you guys are wondering what is this all about? So, here's a lil' info on what's this about...

AZUREFORJANNE & Friends is a pre-showcase and a start off for our hopefully monthly showcase with close friends and bands we're gonna have to taunt local talents in a spot and let them musically shine.

For our first showcase it's gonna be held at the lovely Awakening KL, a jamming space where huge acts like Seven Collar T-Shirt, Killeur Calculateur, They Will Kill Us All, Yuna, Love Me Butch and a million other bands come by to practice.

Do come over and have fun with awesome acts like Eve, Matematik, Unexpected Mercy & AZUREFORJANNE!

So yeah, let's go there, have some fun! And if you don't have AZUREFORJANNE's cd titled Solitary Minds Of Fiction yet, they'll be selling it on that day for RM6 per piece.

A Lil' Recap.....

Whaddup people!!

So yeah, we know, it's been sooooooooooooooooooo long we didn't share any updates here. AZUREFORJANNE's been pretty busy recording our Singles and incase if you guys don't know yet, their singles CD is OUT NOW!




Anyways, here i am to recap what’s been going on AFJ so far.

The latest event they performed was 2crank 12-hours indie fest. Cool place, cool people, but it was kinda hard to find the place, probably bcoz we're not familiar with that area.. hahaha.. took a whole set video, but we're not sure yet about the quality, hope that it's clear. They had 3 interviews from the 2crank, The Malay Mail and CyberjayaTV. (We'll let you know when it's up on their site!). OK now lets rewind back a lil bit and let me share to you guys about the previous event, which was 'Fête de la Musique Malaysia'. It was fun even though it was hot.. LOL.. for those who didn’t make it to the event, you can check out the video on the facebook, and give us some comments. Previously they performed in Mark’s Place in celebrating of Awakening Studio’s 5th Anniversary Showcase. This one was awesome. =) but too bad, none of us recorded or took any picture from this event. BOOO!!! We’re too poor to afford a camera.

Now about AZUREFORJANNE's Single's CD, Solitary Minds Of Fiction, let me share something about it ;)

They've released it on the 12 hour indie fest.. but for you guys who are interested to get yourself a copy, send us an email or fb message or you can get it on the upcoming show.. they're selling it for RM6.. if you're not sure which songs are on the cd, you can check the teaser on their myspace and for those who already have it, we hope that you like it, and let us know if you have any feedback. :)

By the way! Is there any of you checked on AFJ’s bio recently? Because it’s changed already.. if you didn’t then you can check it out now.. and if you noticed at the ‘genre’ section (I’m referring to facebook currently) ‘Post-Hardcore/Avant-Garde/Indie Rock’ probably some of you are thinking… “What’s this avant-garde?” … It’s actually a term they chose to interpret the way they write their songs.. they wanted to use the word ‘experimental’ but then people’s understanding of experimental are vary, so they think that this word is best to describe it instead of experimental. Anyway if you wanna know more details about what is avant garde, you can always Wikipedia it.. hahahaha..

Finally, After a Month!

Hellloooo everybody!

The remastered version of 'Hey Stacy, Myspace is THAT Way!' is up in Myspace and our Facebook page, hope that everyone likes the song, as for myself, i love the song :) and for those who haven't listen to it, you guys should check it out and let us know what you guys think of it. Your feedback means the world to us so in for our new songs, we'll know how to improvise and improve along with it.

And the new version of the 'Super Slow Song' is done and it sounds AWESOME!! Oohh and i like the new version of 'Holding On To Yesterday' too. It sounds really much better than the one in Myspace, with a totally different feel in it and heavier sounds.

AFJ would upload 2 more new songs from their upcoming EP, A Common State of Liberty pretty soon for you all to listen and head-the-fuckin'-bang to.

Hold your horses till the release of the EP cause when it comes out, its gonna be a Rawrrgasm one.
