Draught la

It seems like forever since we last jammed. Please don't remind us about Chris's departure boohooohooo =....( or else SanJay wouldn't shuddup. We are still dreading over his departure.
The new addition to our last jamming session was Tomas of Metaphor to chip in his awesome playing skills as our bassist. That was erm like 2 weeks ago?! Ftwwww right? Come on guys we need to jam more now that Bryan has more time in hand and we've got Tomas to fill up the empty bassist spot(sobsob now now let's now go there again about Chris). So yea the next jamming session will be this Sunday, 2 Jan 2010 just the right thing to do to kick start the year! Go AFJ wooohoooo!!!

p/s: I'm sure there'll be a post by SanJay very soon about The Rev of Avenged Sevenfold's drummer's death.

Tah for now =)

Goodbyes and Farewells.

So as its been an awfully long delay on updates cause we're still emo over Chris's (our bassist) departure to the States less than a week ago. His send off wasn't a easy one but hey, he gotta do what he has to do and we all wish all the best to him over there. That plus we'll get more equipments & other stuff's coming from the States without having to order online and go through some fussy American dealers lol. Import yoooooes!

Chris has been a good friend over the years, fun times were had together, crazy moments we went through and above all, he is like a brother (older one of course) to us but with a kid-like mentality which we all have this love-hate condition over it. Basically Chris was Meng's friend where they met in college. Chris was learning the drums during that period and that was like in 2006. How we started, here it goes.

Meng called me (Jay) up one day telling me we should start playing music together and such. I was still in Penang during that period so i would try my best to go down to KL every weekend just to hang out and jam with them. The crazy thing is, we had this passion for music, me, Meng and Chris shared almost the same playlist and influences for our taste in music, so that drove me to be there every weekend eventhough i was almost 400KM away from where they were. We started off playing some Post-Punk shit back then (2006) where Meng was just fresh with his guitar, Chris started playing the bass like barely 2 days before we started our first serious jam and i, well i was just banging the drums cause it made some cool noise when i did so. Over the weeks and a month after watching tutorials online and Youtube being our tutor, we managed to at least play some "music" at last. Our first cover song was The Used's Buried Myself Alive and by far till today its the only cover song we know how to play. We started posting online looking for another member to complete us, either a vocalist, another guitarist or both and we found a good vocalist by the name of Kim Fatt. Together we started our first band called Every Fallen Thursday which was suppose to be a Post-Punk band but due to some minor set backs, we slowly evolved to Powerpop. We all had so much fun growing and learning various things as we went on and watching Meng mould and teach Chris how to play the bass, it was awesome. To see the improvement he gained and the progress he made, it was priceless. Meng was like a music-father to Chris hahah, a very young one.

I lasted with Every Fallen Thursday for almost a year, some misunderstanding occured and i went back to Penang. EFT played on with a new drummer for another half a year or so without me and they had their set back and finally disband.

Meng and me wanted to start another band together which hardcore and screamo driven and along came AZUREFORJANNE. We asked Chris and Jayson to join the band and we were playing for almost a year without a stable vocalist. Vocalists came and left due to idea differences or they were just fucked in the head. We had the good ones and the really dumb ones. I would like to kill the dumb ones for being so dumb they bring it to a whole new level if i ever see them again lol.

Well, it wasn't long then where Meng asked me to try out for vocals in AFJ and we look for a new drummer instead. Due to the series of retardness we went through getting a vocalist, i said ok towards the idea of me being on the vocals. We found a drummer and very good friend, Bryan, not long after that. Vocals were fatalistically new to me but i've learned alot since the day i started hogging the mic. We grew as a band and close friends, we were like a family in no time. After all that, after a year passed on and now with a stable line-up as a full band, we elevated and improved together. We'll after all we've been through together with Chris since day one, its not easy to let go someone you grew along with. Moreover he was my housemate. Damn you Chris, i should've threw my shoes at you when i had the chance lol.

We'll that was our journey together with his, cut-down in synopsis format. What he means and what we've went through together, it can't be described in words. It was something that cant be told but can be felt. We'll miss you buddy and we hope everything goes well for you. DONT FORGET US OK! WE THE GAYANESSS! GET LAID YO! BIMBO STYLE!

We're gonna have a jam session with a close friend of the band this coming weekend to fill in the current vacant slot for the bassist position.

We'll update you guys soon on that.

OH AFJ's EP IS IN THE MIDST OF MIXING! ITS COMINGGGGGGGGGG!!

hahaha, have fun guys. have a great week ahead.

Till next time,

Jay.
